Cenotes

› Best season: ALL YEAR

› Age: From 15 years old

› Level: Only certified divers, minimum of 15 dives

Mexican cenotes are a world-famous diving destination, and at Caribe Dive Shop, we offer you the opportunity to immerse yourself in their crystal-clear waters. Cenotes are underground rivers that originated millions of years ago, offering a unique and mystical diving experience.

The water in cenotes is fresh and has unbeatable visibility, but it is colder than the sea, with an average temperature of around 24°C (75°F). To ensure your comfort, we always recommend the use of a neoprene suit.
This type of diving provides an exceptional opportunity to explore the mysterious and silent subterranean Mayan world of lights and haloclines (a mixture of fresh and saltwater). The average depth of cenote dives is between 10 and 30 meters.

There are two types of diving in cenotes: cavern diving and cave diving. Cavern diving is recreational diving, while cave diving is a type of technical diving. Our dives are available for certified divers with a minimum of 15 dives and a minimum age of 15 years. Come dive with us and experience the magical play of light and the spectacular underwater landscape of the cenotes.

Cozumel

› Best season: ALL YEAR

› Age: From 13 years old

› Level: Certified divers and Discover scuba Diving.

The island of Cozumel is known as one of the diving meccas worldwide. Jacques Cousteau visited it in the 1960s and was amazed by its impeccable and amazing reef formations. Cozumel has been a marine park for more than 20 years and thanks to this it has kept its underwater beauty intact. In the dives you will be able to see an underwater landscape that will leave you amazed, one that you can find in few places in the world.

The average diving depths range from 10 mts. up to 30 meters depending on your certification and experience. For certified divers, incredible reef walls can be seen, as well as the famous C53 shipwreck.

During the dive, you will witness a very well-preserved reef with large corals, vivid colors, and complex structures. Even if you are not a certified diver, you can still experience the magic of diving in Cozumel with our Discover Scuba Diving program at a shallower depth.
